The Queen has removed the Duke of York’s military titles following the decision by a US judge to proceed with his sexual assault civil case. The 61-year-old has also lost his HRH status and his patronages. A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: “With The Queen’s approval and agreement, The Duke of York’s military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned to The Queen.
