The Queen appoints a horse to carry the rank of Major - the first mare to ever hold the honour

The Queen has made a Welsh mare the first
ever female horse to be named a Household Cavalry Drum Horse. The
Shire Horse, who was named Juno by Queen Camilla, will lead the
mounted parade at the the King’s birthday parade on Saturday. This
