Dutch King and Queen's state visit to Germany rocked by attempted assassination of journalist in Amsterdam

On Tuesday evening, prominent Dutch journalist Peter R De Vries was shot and seriously wounded in Amsterdam.  Mr De Vries was was exiting a television studio after being a guest on the live show RTL Boulevard to talk about the case of a hairdresser who was murdered in 2019.
