John Bercow has been re-elected to the office of Speaker of the House of Commons unopposed, despite rumours some MPs might try and force a Speaker’s Election. Dutch royal palace due to be converted into hotel

A Dutch palace is to be partly converted into a hotel following a bid of 1.7 million euros. The purchase follows a competition in which the government sought to find a new function for Soestdijk Palace. London Bridge closed due to 'major police incident'

London Bridge is closed this evening following a ‘major police incident’ in which armed officers are in attendance. Eyewitnesses report that a car hit around a dozen pedestrians on the bridge.
