The Queen’s Christmas Broadcast topped TV ratings according to overnight figures, with more people tuning in to watch the monarch than any other programme. Across BBC One, ITV and Sky News, an audience of 8.14 million watched the address in which the 94-year-old Queen spoke of hope amid the ongoing pandemic. Meanwhile, BBC One’s Call The Midwife had the second highest number of viewers.
