Papers released by the National Archives suggest there were concerns ahead of Sir Elton John’s poignant performance of “Candle in the Wind” at the Funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales. Sir Elton John performed at the Lunchtime Reception for the wedding guests of the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Prince Harry personally asked Sir Elton to perform at the reception.
