If you’re looking for your own tiara but don’t have deep pockets, an online retailer has just released a replica of the Duchess of Sussex’s wedding tiara.
The royal Look for Less is selling its version of Queen Mary’s Diamond Bandeau for $39.99 – though without the real diamonds that Meghan’s tiara included. Instead, it’s made with rhinestones and a base of zinc alloy.
The real tiara, which was seen atop Meghan’s head for the first time in decades, was made in 1932 for Queen Mary, with its centrepiece diamond brooch dating back to 1893.
“This brooch was given as a present to the then Princess Mary in 1893 by the County of Lincoln on her marriage to Prince George, Duke of York,” Kensington Palace revealed on Meghan’s wedding date, noting that the bandeau and brooch had been bequeathed to The Queen upon Queen Mary’s death in 1953.
The Royal Look for Less ships to the following countries: Austria, Croatia, Denmark, France Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. It plans to add more shipping options soon.
Shoppers who want to purchase a replica of Meghan’s tiara can also look through the Meghan collection, which features items including a replica of the aquamarine ring Meghan was spotted wearing on her way to her evening reception on 19 May; a green body-con dress that looks similar to Meghan’s engagement announcement dress; a brown bag Meghan carried on Christmas morning at Sandringham; and a replica engagement ring for £21.99.
The website also includes a collection dedicated to the Duchess of Cambridge, featuring an assortment of her dresses, clutches, and jewellery based on her; and a Princess collection that features replicas of items worn by The Queen and Diana, Princess of Wales.
