The King in tears of laughter at the Royal Windsor Horse Show

The King was seen breaking into fits of laughter as he watched the Royal Windsor Horse Show – a favourite event of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

Sat in the royal box alongside members of his family, the 75-year-old monarch would be seen laughing away as he watched the horses compete in various disciplines.

This was one of the first times that The King has appeared in public since it was announced that he was receiving treatment for cancer.

After a break to receive treatment, His Majesty returned to official public duties only a few days ago, with doctors deciding on a case-by-case basis which events he is able to attend.

From 1943 until her death in 2022, Queen Elizabeth II never missed the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Even in her final months, despite her health issues, The late Queen attended the second day of the show to watch her highland pony compete in a competition.

Her Majesty’s horse won first prize, much to the delight of the crowd in attendance.

The four day show is held annual in the grounds of Windsor, with various members of The Royal Family visiting the event.
