Prince George and Princess Charlotte of Cambridge and their grandfather Michael Middleton are watching the King’s Cup and are cheering on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in The King’s Cup Regatta currently underway on the Isle of Wight. While Prince George came out to cheer on their parents, Princess Charlotte remains inside the boat for now.
The first race was won by Bear Grylls and Tusk while the Duke of Cambridge with Child Bereavement UK came third. The Duchess of Cambridge and The Royal Foundation came seventh. The event will include several races between eight boats, each representing an organisation supported by William and Kate.

The inaugural regatta, which is taking place on the Isle of Wight, was due to take to the water on Friday, August 9th. However, forecasts of heavy rain, thunder and lightning and winds of up to 50 miles an hour for the south of the UK that day have seen the event brought forward a day. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced the King’s Cup event in May this year and are hoping it will become an annual event.
