House of Lords approves plans to allow English and Welsh pubs to stay open longer for Royal Wedding

The House of Lords has confirmed that
pubs will stay open longer for the Royal Wedding. Prince Harry and
Meghan Markle will marry on 19 May. To mark the special day, pubs
in England and Wales will stay open until 1 am, instead of closing
at their usual 11 pm on both Friday and Saturday. The Home Office
