All aboard the literature train for Norway's future queen

While The Queen’s Reading Room Festival at Hampton Court Palace wrapped up on Sunday, Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway has also been celebrating literature this week with the launch of her literary train for 2024. An annual event, the Norwegian Crown Princess boarded her literary train again on 11 June to visit several communities and to highlight the importance of reading.

Princess Anne oversees investiture at Windsor

The Princess Royal had a busy day at Windsor Castle as she presented over 70 honours recipients with their medals.  The Princess Royal represented the King as she presented several different honours at Windsor. The late novelist Sir Martin Amis was awarded a KBE; his wife received the order on his behalf. Joe Root, cricketer and former captain of the England team, received his MBE.
