While The Prince of Wales was in France this week for D-Day commemorations, he returned back in time for his friend’s wedding, one of the society events of the year. The heir to the throne was in Chester to attend the Duke of Westminster’s wedding and to play a crucial role.

Ushers typically receive guests as they enter the wedding venue and help them find seats and get settled.
After the ceremony, Prince William was seen chatting with friends, including Edward van Cutsem who married one of the Duke’s older sisters in 2004.
The Duke of Westminster has close ties to the Royal Family. King Charles is his godfather, and he is now godfather to Prince George.

The wedding had over 400 guests in attendance and has been dubbed by many as the “wedding of the year”. The Duke is the richest person under 40 in Britain, and serves on several trusts.
