William and Catherine are joined by George and Charlotte at Easter Sunday Church Service in Windsor

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge led The Royal Family to the annual Easter Sunday church service held at St George’s Chapel, Windsor.

In the absence of The Queen and the Prince of Wales & Duchess of Cornwall, William and Catherine were the most senior royals in attendance at the religious ceremony.

They were joined by their two eldest children – Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Six-year-old Princess Charlotte held her father’s hand as she waled to the Chapel, while her brother walked in between their parents.

Following the Cambridge Family into St George’s Chapel was the Earl and Countess of Wessex and their two children – Lady Louise and Viscount Severn.

The Queen was unable to attend this year’s Easter Church Service due to ongoing health issues.

Her Majesty has been forced to cancel a number of engagements in recent months due to mobility issues. Her only in-person engagement in recent times has been her presence at a service of remembrance for Prince Philip in March.

Charles and Camilla were also unable to attend the service, but did represent the monarch at the traditional Maundy Maundy Service on Thursday.
