The Royal Family view floral tributes to The Queen left by well-wishers at Balmoral

Members of The Royal Family who have remained in Scotland left the Balmoral Estate on Saturday afternoon to view the floral tributes left to Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Princess Royal and Sir Tim Laurence led the family to the gates of the Castle, where they read some of the cards and messages left by well-wishers.

Joining their mother was Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall, alongside the Earl & Countess of Wessex and Lady Louise Windsor.

The Duke of York was also there, as were his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Speaking to a well-wisher at Balmoral, Prince Andrew said: “We’ve been allowed one day, now we start the process of handing her on.”

The late Queen’s body will be moved from Balmoral Castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse on Sunday.

The walkabout at Balmoral by members of The Royal Family was similar to the events of Friday when The King met his public outside of Buckingham Palace.

Before they headed back inside the Balmoral Estate, the family waved to the crowd, who in turn cheered.
