Royal parents show off their children’s Halloween costumes

Royal parents have taken to social media to show off their children’s Halloween costumes.

With all restrictions from the global health crisis lifted after two years, children have been able to get back to dressing up as their favourite characters and going trick-or-treating. It’s no different for royal children.

Princess Charlene of Monaco shared a photo of her and Prince Albert’s seven-year-old twins, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques, in their Halloween dress on her Instagram account.

Princess Gabriella chose to dress as a pumpkin with a cute headband, while her younger brother elected to be a vampire.

Over in the United States, Princess Madeleine shared a family photo ahead of trick-or-treating in Miami. The Swedish Princess showed off her children’s costumes outside their home.

Princess Adrienne, 4, is dressed as a unicorn; Princess Leonore, 8, is pictured as a witch, and Prince Nicolas, 7, is seen as Tom Cruise’s character from the movie Top Gun. Princess Madeleine and her husband, Chris O’Neill, even got in on the fun, with Madeleine dressing as a hippie and Chris wearing a mullet wig.

It has been a tradition of Princess Madeleine’s to release a Halloween image almost every year since Princess Leonore was a baby.

Princess Märtha Louise and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway have also shared their Halloween costumes on Instagram in the past. In 2021, Princess Märtha Louise shared photos and videos of her and her now fiancé, Durek Verrett, dressed as aliens; in 2019, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Crown Prince Haakon were pictured on Mette-Marit’s Instagram as characters from the movie The Royal Tenenbaums.
