Princess Charlotte of Cambridge celebrated her fourth birthday yesterday, and her father, the Duke of Cambridge, revealed at an Investiture at Buckingham Palace that his little princess was going to have a “rowdy” birthday party later that day at Kensington Palace.
The Duke told Julia Donaldson about the plans after presenting her with her CBE saying that Charlotte was going to have a “rowdy party with lots of friends,” according to ITV.
Friends from Willcocks Nursery School were expected to attend, and it is quite possible cousins, Savannah and Isla Phillips and Mia and Lena Tindall, may have made appearances, as well.
Specific details about the party, naturally, remain under wraps, but it is safe to assume a fun time was had by all!
To celebrate her big day, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released three photos of Princess Charlotte on Wednesday, taken by Kate at their London home, Kensington Palace, and at their Norfolk home, Amner Hall.
Uncle Harry and Aunt Meghan wished their niece a happy birthday on Instagram commenting on the photos released by Kensington Palace saying, “Happy Birthday Charlotte! Lots of love, H and M xo.”
Charlotte will soon have a new cousin to play with when the Duchess of Sussex, who is due any day, gives birth to her and the Duke of Sussex’s first child. The gender is unknown, and the details of the baby’s arrival are being kept private.
Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born on 2 May 2015 at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London and made her public debut a few hours later in the arms of her mother on the Lindo Wing steps.
