With The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s royal visit to Belize completed, let’s look at the sartorial choices Kate made during this three-day trip.
On arrival in Belize on Saturday, Kate returned to one of her favourite designers, Jenny Packham, for this sapphire lace dress. Her earrings were Diana, Princess of Wales’s sapphire and diamond earrings that Kate has worn numerous times, most recently at the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey.
On their second day in Belize, the Duke and Duchess toured a cacao farm, attended a Garifuna cultural festival and spoke with marine conservation leaders about their work in the country. For all engagements, Kate sported a fun, floral Tory Burch dress with an accordion bodice and her favoured midi-length skirt. Her earrings were by Sézanne, and she carried a straw fan clutch by Anya Hindmarch that she’d previously carried on her first-ever royal visit (to Canada) in 2011.
For a day of engagements in the Belizean forest, Kate dressed in a practical fashion. The royals visited the ancient ruins of Caracol before joining British and Belizean soldiers on a training exercise. For her outdoor engagements, Kate wore a simple white scoop t-shirt and olive jeans with Superga Cotu sneakers.
On their final evening in Belize, William and Kate attended a reception at the ancient Mayan ruins at Cahal Pech. For the event, which celebrated The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and showcased Belizean culture, Kate wore a stunning metallic pink evening gown designed by The Vampire’s Wife. The Duchess has worn the brand on a past royal visit to Ireland. To pay tribute to her hosts, Kate carried a Mayan clutch. Her earrings were by O’nitaa, previously worn in Pakistan.
For their departure from Belize, Kate wore a vintage red Yves Saint Laurent jacket that she’d bought while she was a student at St. Andrews University paired with white pants and a white bag by Mulberry called the Amberley. To reflect the stunning marine life and conservation work of Belize, Catherine wore a pair of coral shell earrings by Anthropologie.
