<![CDATA[The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh stopped in Ystrad Mynach on Wednesday as part of their two-day visit to Wales.
The Royal couple paid a visit to wrapping paper company International Greetings UK Limited.
Residents and schoolchildren gathered to await Her Majesty with hopes of seeing her arrival.
“We are extremely privileged and overjoyed that Her Majesty the Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will visit us to officially open and unveil our new printing press facility at our UK Manufacturing operation in Ystrad Mynach, Wales on April 30, 2014,” Lance Burn, Managing Director, International Greetings UK Ltd commented.

The paper company was granted a Royal Warrant in 1906 for their line of Christmas Crackers. They also have provided Christmas gift wrap for the Royal Household since 2013.
“This will be an historic day for all staff and a positive boost to the local area and community,” Burn added.
“We are just delighted and today is a great occasion for the whole of the Caerphilly County Borough. It is great that Her Majesty has found the time to come and join in the celebrations of International Greetings,” Council leader Harry Andrews stated.
The Queen and Prince Philip also visited Llantwit Major on Wednesday.
They met students at Atlantic College in the Vale of Glamorgan and enjoyed a choir performance before meeting members of staff, students and other groups at the college. Atlantic Collage is based at St Donat’s Castle and dates back to the 12th Century.
The Royal couple also met the student whose families’ story was the inspiration for the movie The Impossible about the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami.
Tomas Alvarez a native of Madrid was only eight when his family was split up for two days following the tsunami in 2004. After a conversation with Prince Philip, Alvarez accompanied Her Majesty and The Duke around campus.
On Tuesday the Royal couple toured Pembrokeshire. Next week proves to be a busy for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh as they visit Essex and will attend a reception together at Stationers’ Hall. The Queen as Sovereign Head of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath be present at a Service of the Order at Westminster Abbey.
