Celebrations for 50th anniversary of the Investiture of the Prince of Wales: first photos

The Queen is holding a reception to mark five decades since the investiture of Prince Charles as Prince of Wales. Elizabeth II arrived at the event at Buckingham Palace with her son and heir at her side. The Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Princess Royal are also attending the event. As well as chatting to guests, they will get the chance to review the regalia worn by Charles at his Investiture at Caernarfon Castle on July 1st 1969. As the celebration gets under way, here are the first photos from this special event marking the 50th anniversary of the Investiture of Prince Charles as Prince of Wales.
