Camilla’s in Vogue as the Duchess makes her debut in the ultimate fashion magazine

Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall

The Duchess of Cornwall has completed a notable milestone in honour of her 75th birthday – she has graced the cover of Vogue

The Duchess of Cornwall has had a long road to get to where she is now. Quietly respected by those who know her, her standing in the Royal Family has never been clearer.

On The Queen’s accession anniversary on 6 February, Her Majesty explained in her statement that she would like Camilla to be known as Queen Consort when Charles takes the throne. And last week, Camilla was made a Royal Lady of the Most Noble Order of the Garter. The only other current Royal Ladies of the order are The Princess Royal and Princess Alexandra of Kent.

The Duchess is the cover star of the July 2022 issue of British Vogue, along with having a full-length cover story.

She has returned to one of her favourite designers for the photoshoot, Bruce Oldfield. In addition to the gown that she wore for the photoshoot, The Duchess wore an Oldfield creation for the State Opening of Parliament in May when The Prince of Wales stood in for his mother and another gown for the James Bond premiere in September.

In the interview with Vogue, Camilla talks about many of her passions including her Reading Room. She explains that although she needed to learn how to use Instagram, she has immensely enjoyed her online book club and connecting with others: “What’s so wonderful is it took off all round the world, and now I get letters from Papua New Guinea to the tip of Chile. It’s a real community.”

She also discussed being a grandmother to five teens and how she connects with them now, including the ever-popular Wordle. Family was a big focus of the interview, as she explained that she and Charles make time for each other every day.

With her 75th birthday approaching on 17 July, we will be watching for more from The Duchess of Cornwall.
