Candy and Muick — Queen Elizabeth II
The Queen’s love of corgis and dorgis is well-documented, but she currently owns a dorgi named Candy—who is allegedly over a decade old—and Muick, who joined the Royal Household shortly after the death of Prince Philip in 2021 to cheer up The Queen. Another corgi named Fergus also joined the Royal Household in 2021 but sadly passed away in May 2021. It’s thought that The Queen has since received another corgi. However, its name is unknown.
Beth and Bluebell — The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall
Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall have two Jack Russell Terrier dogs, Beth and Bluebell, rescues from the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, a charity that calls Camilla its Patron. The two pups have joined their royals on engagements—Beth has helped Camilla unveil a plaque and win a training competition—and appear in official photographs.
Orla — The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
Following the death of their first dog, Lupo, William and Kate adopted another Cocker Spaniel dog named Orla, who posed with Princess Charlotte in one of her birthday portraits a few weeks ago. Kate has also talked about their new addition on engagements. While holding a therapy dog in training, she joked that Orla would be jealous.
Jeep and Simba – Belgian Royal Family
The Belgian King and Queen and their family have two dogs. One is a white Westie named Jeep and the other is a small brown dog named Simba. The pooches are featured in Princess Eléonore’s 14th birthday photo this year.
Mambo, Luna, Skipper and Nala — Dutch Royal Family
On 4 October 2021, the Dutch Royal Family celebrated World Animal Day with a snap of their newest family member, Mambo. The year before, the Dutch Royal Family shared a photo of their three Labrador dogs named Luna, Skipper and Nala.
Grace — Crown Prince Family of Denmark
The Crown Prince Family have a white-and-brown Border Collie named Grace. Ahead of Christmas 2021, the family shared a snap of Grace’s two puppies, announcing that their family has grown by two! Prior to Grace, the family had a dog named Ziggy, who sadly passed away in 2017.
Much like her British counterpart, Queen Margrethe has enjoyed a long association with her favourite breed of dogs: dachshunds. One of her puppies joined her in her official 80th birthday photograph, and over the years, Queen Margrethe has owned puppies named Nelly, Helike, and Tillia.
Rio — Crown Princess Family of Sweden
Rio, a Poodle and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix, is the newest addition to Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel’s family. The couple announced that they had a new pet in May 2020, and the puppy even appeared in official family photographs at the time.
King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia have two dogs, Brandie and Bingo, while Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia have one dog named Siri. Princess Madeleine and her family have a dog named Teddy. The pets of the Swedish Royal Family were on display in the latest family portraits released in July 2021.
Molly Fiskebolle — Crown Prince Family of Norway
The Crown Prince Family of Norway welcomed a new Labradoodle into their family on Christmas Day 2021 with the addition of Molly Fiskebolle. The family shared a snap of Molly on their Instagram account; she joins Milly, another Labradoodle, with the family. A Labradoodle named Muffins was also a part of the family. However, she sadly passed away in the summer of 2021.
