Another young prince has quietly started school.
Prince Alexander, the first child of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia, has begun preschool. His first day was Thursday, 18 August, and he was accompanied by his parents as he began his educational journey.
Alexander, 6, is attending Djurgårdsskolan in Djurgården in Stockholm; it’s a small school with only 94 students. It is one of the oldest schools in Stockholm and has been in its current location since 1878. It is a not-for-profit school and is run by a foundation.
It is also close to home as the school is only minutes away from Villa Solbacken by car.
Alexander’s schooling is the opposite of his first cousin, Prince Oscar, who also began preschool last week. However, Prince Oscar is attending the prestigious Campus Manilla alongside his older sister, Princess Estelle, who is in her fourth year at the school.
Neither Prince Alexander nor Prince Oscar had to face the media on their first day of school like Princess Estelle, who will one day be the Queen of Sweden.
