Spring style is definitely all about suits and ties – Queen Letizia just proved it

If you want to know whether a style statement really is the up and coming fashion move then one sure fire way is to see if Queen Letizia is wearing it. For all those still not sure whether pin stripe suits and ties really were the smart way to see in spring, here’s your answer. The Queen of Spain says yes.

Queen Letizia has never knowingly shied away from a hotter than hot trend. In recent weeks, fashion bibles everywhere have been showcasing sharp striped trouser suits with a tie as the way out of jumpers for this year. Now, Spain’s ever stylish consort has confirmed that this is the answer to what to do when the jumpers go away.

The Queen of Spain chose the look for the main event taking place to mark the Global Day of Rare Diseases. The cause is very close to Queen Letizia’s heart and has been one of her main patronages since her royal career began in 2004.

This year’s gathering had an even more personal touch for her as it took place in her home city of Oviedo in Asturias.

Her decision to channel one of the most daring trends of Spring 2025 is also a canny one. Her every fashion move is followed and by choosing such a definite style statement for this important event, she is ensuring everyone is talking about it and its central message which is to look at the people who are living with these diseases first and foremost.

Letizia, of course, put her own spin on the trend. Her tie was actually made of a hankie which she knotted at the neck of her crisp white shirt. The suit came from French brand, Sandro.
