Princess Stéphanie has launched a new perfume to support Fight AIDS Monaco.
Princesse de Cœur, or Princess of Heart, created by French parfumier Laurent Mazzone, was inspired by Stéphanie, and the Fight AIDS Monaco Association, of which Stéphanie is President, will receive the funds from the first 800 bottles sold.
According to Laurent Mazone’s website, Princesse de Cœur is a “refined elixir that draws its majestic scent from the rose” and is tinged with iris and aldehydes to create a “sumptuous, velvety aura” and was created in tribute to the Princess as a way to “immerse oneself in the 1990s golden decade.”
The perfume’s official description continues: “Underneath the tender opening, a woody undertone resonates: the dark and bewitching notes of patchouli. A sophisticated, chypre facet dresses you in one effortless move, just like the perfect accessory would. A base of amber wood anchors the fragrance, while the cashmeran makes it melt in your skin.”
Princesse de Cœur contains head notes of aldehyde fresh, bergamot, and carrot; heart notes of rose petal, iris and amber wood; and base notes of cashmeran, white musk and patchouli.
Princess Stéphanie founded the Fight AIDS Monaco Association in 2004 with the aim to create a space “where everyone living with HIV can express themselves freely, where everyone will find a space to try their hand at talking about this virus and its consequences,” according to its official website.
The association supports those living with HIV and AIDS through the psychological and financial distress of living with the illness. The website notes that Princess Stéphanie has observed this, and, “In the face of discrimination that many suffer on a daily basis, faced with their often hidden, internalized acute pain, HSH Princess Stéphanie, sensitive and touched, is committed for and with them in this fight for life and for dignity.”
Princess Stéphanie’s Princesse de Cœur perfume is available for €329.17.
