Princess Charlene shares images from FaceTime call with twins while she remains in South Africa due to illness

Princess Charlene of Monaco, 43, remains in South Africa after being struck down with a severe ear, nose and throat infection. However, that hasn’t kept her from staying in touch and doing things with her six-year-old twins, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques.

On Friday, the Princess of Monaco shared photos of her FaceTiming her twins “Jacqui and Bella” while making blankets for the “crèche next door.”

The royal was seen with her iPhone and a sewing machine while chatting with her children. She joked in her post about her sewing ability: “Wish me luck!” with a laughing face emoji and praying hands.

Her post also promotes conservation as she is seen in the first image posing in front of posters that say “Save the Rhinos” and “Save Our Elephants.” The Princess initially went to South Africa on a conservation trip in May before she fell ill.

Her medical team has told her not to fly until she recovers from the ear, nose and throat infection that has resulted in multiple complicated surgeries. Princess Charlene recently told Channel24 in South Africa that this illness had “been a trying time for me. I miss my husband and children dearly.”

She added that her strength to get through the day comes from her children: “My daily conversations with Albert and my children help immensely to keep my spirits up, but I miss being with them. It was special to have my family visit me here, and it was truly wonderful seeing them. I can’t wait to be reunited with them.”

According to People, Charlene’s husband, Prince Albert, and the twins have plans to travel to South Africa soon. They previously visited her in June.
