Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have become parents today, with the birth of their son.
The Royal Family announced the news on social media, saying that “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son,” and that Jack Brooksbank was present at the birth, which took place at The Portland Hospital at 8:55 am on 9 February 2021.
The unnamed baby was 8 lbs 1 oz, and Buckingham Palace notes that, “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news.”
Baby Brooksbank is the first grandchild for The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, and is The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh’s ninth great-grandchild. He is now eleventh in line to the British throne.
“Her Royal Highness and her child are doing well,” Buckingham Palace said in the press release.
