The official announcement of the birth of Princess Eugenie’s baby boy came from Buckingham Palace but the proud mum shared the special news in her own way just moments later. As she told the world about the arrival of her son, Eugenie shared a fleeting glimpse of the Queen’s latest great grandchild holding hands with her and his dad, Jack Brooksbank.
Taking to her personal Instagram account to share her happy news, Eugenie added a photo of the baby boy’s hand. His tiny fingers are linked with those of Eugenie and Jack while the new mum summed up her feelings in a short message that consisted of three blue hearts.
Eugenie gave birth to her son at 8.55 am on February 9th 2021 at the Portland Hospital in central London. The little boy, whose names haven’t yet been revealed, is eleventh in line to the throne.
Baby Brooksbank is a first grandchild for the Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York and a ninth great grandchild for the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
In the official announcement of the birth, all four along with Jack’s parents, George and Nicola Brooksbank, were said to be ”delighted with the news”.
