The Duke of Edinburgh is returning home after a five day stay in hospital. Prince Philip was discharged from King Edward VII in London on Christmas Eve morning.
He was seen walking to a car as he left just after 8.45 today.
The Prince, who is 98, was admitted on December 20th 2019 for treatment for what Buckingham Palace described as a ‘pre-existing condition’. He arrived in London from Sandringham just as the Queen made her way to Norfolk for the Christmas break.
It’s now expected Prince Philip will join her at Sandringham where they traditionally spend the festive season. The Royal Family exchanges gifts on Christmas Eve.
