The Duchess of Sussex and The Princess Royal enjoyed a long chat at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday during a party held in honour of Prince Charles as he celebrates the 50th anniversary of his investiture as Prince of Wales.
Their Royal Highnesses were photographed laughing together at the reception hosted by The Queen, with the Duke of Sussex to the left of Meghan just out of shot.
It is thought that Princess Anne and the Duchess of Sussex get on well.
They were recently seen joking together at St George’s Chapel in Windsor as they awaited the start of Princess Eugenie’s wedding ceremony to Jack Brooksbank.
Not only does this week mark the 50th anniversary of Prince Charles becoming Prince of Wales, but is also marks five decades since Princess Anne conducted her first engagement.
Last Saturday, The Queen’s daughter marked 50 years since she conducted her very first engagement on March 1st 1969 – St David’s Day.
According to the MailOnline, Princess Anne’s first engagement was to hand out leeks to the Welsh Guards at Pirbright Camp in Surrey.
Since then, Princess Anne has conducted more than 20,000 public engagements so far in her career, with there being no signs of her slowing down just yet.
As well as attending her brother’s party on Tuesday, the 68-year-old also had a day packed full of engagements.
In the morning, she visited the Leighton Linslade Bureau of the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux and took the royal helicopter back to London ensuring she made it in time to her brother’s party.
In the afternoon after the reception at Buckingham Palace, Her Royal Highness attended the Worldwide Graduation Ceremony at the University of London.
She also attended a reception for her patronage, Scots in Great War London Group that evening.
