Princess Anne and Family

Princess Anne had a packed day of engagements but still found the time to attend her brother’s party

The Princess Royal joined The Queen and members of her family at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday despite having a packed diary of engagements.

Princess Anne attended the reception to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Prince Charles becoming the Prince of Wales as she somehow managed to fit the occasion in her diary.

Early in the morning, the 68-year-old royal was welcomed to the Leighton Linslade Bureau of the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux.

At this event, the Princess met volunteers and staff to talk about the amazing work they do in reaching out to those in times of need.

In order to ensure she didn’t miss her brother’s party at Buckingham Palace, the Princess Royal took the royal helicopter back to London.

After the reception for Prince Charles was over, Princess Anne held an audience where she received Janet Rogers, a Committee Member at the National Equine Forum, and Dr Georgina Crossman, an administrator.

Shortly after, Her Royal Highness visited the University of London where she is Chancellor. Here, she oversaw the university’s Worldwide Graduation Ceremony at the Barbican Centre.

Finally, Princess Anne attended a reception alongside her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, in London.

The reception was held at the London Scottish Regiment Headquarters for the Scots in Great War London Group of which she is patron.
