Your roundup of 2022 royal Christmas greetings

It’s the most wonderful time of the year again, and the royals across Europe have been enjoying the season. From Denmark to the UK, the royal families have released many Christmas greetings and photos, and we have compiled them all for our readers in this post.

Belgium:

Belgium’s royals released a new family photo of the King and his family for the holiday season. Taking by palace photographer Bas Bogaerts, it features King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, Princess Elisabeth, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel, Princess Eleonore and the family’s two dogs.

Denmark:

The Danish Royal House was in the Christmas spirit for the entire month of December. The royal website featured an advent calendar with different photos, videos and information each day. The post from 23 December showed the Crown Prince Family in Crown Princess Mary’s home country of Australia, where they are spending the holidays with her family. Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent are photographed in Tasmania.

Luxembourg:

In Luxembourg, the Grand Ducal Court released new images of Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie and Prince Charles with the message: “Prince Guillaume and Princess Stephanie, together with Prince Charles, wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!” The family will be joined by a second child in the spring.

Monaco:

As of writing this article, the Princely Palace of Monaco has not released the 2022 Christmas photo and card from Prince Albert, Princess Charlene, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques. They have released a festive video of decorations in and around the Princely Palace.

Netherlands:

The Dutch Royal Family went glam for this year’s Christmas card. King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima, Princess Amalia, Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane are all seen in formal wear inside the palace in July of this year. Their Christmas card extends warm wishes in five languages, including English, Dutch and the Queen’s native Spanish.

Norway:

In Norway, the usual full family photo of the King with the Crown Prince Family was not released. King Harald spent some time in hospital, and as such, the traditional photo session did not occur. However, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Ingrid-Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus released a new family photo with a thank you message and warm wishes for the holidays.

They said: “The Crown Prince family would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! ?It was a slightly different pre-Christmas time this year, and the Crown Prince Family thanks everyone for all the concern that has been received while the King has been in the hospital and is very happy that he is now home.”

Sweden:

In Sweden, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar always release a Christmas video to the public and new photos to celebrate the holiday. This year, the family went to the opera and watched a performance of Cinderella.

Prince and Princess of Wales:
