The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are in Lahore for the penultimate day of their visit to Pakistan. We’ll get another glimpse of William and Kate being competitive at sport. But the day will also be poignant for both as the Duke of Cambridge follows in the footsteps of his mother, Diana, on a special engagement. Here’s what to expect from day four of the Cambridges in Pakistan.
Official Meetings
This is an official tour and so that means high level meetings. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will start their day with an audience with the Governor of Lahore.
Anyone for Cricket?
This royal pair do like to take each other on in a sporting match and they’ll be stepping up to that wicket during day four of their Pakistan tour. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will play cricket at the National Academy and they will also meet some of the country’s top stars in the game.
Words from the Duchess
Kate will make her first speech of the tour as she and William visit the SOS Children’s Village in Lahore. The couple will also meet some of the young people and parents helped by the organisation.
When Past meets Present
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, built in the 17th century. The couple will also spend time at the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Centre which was visited by Diana, Princess of Wales. It was set up by her friend, Imran Khan, who is now Prime Minister of Pakistan and who welcomed William and Kate to his country at the start of their visit.
