Prince and Princess of Wales release strong message condemning terror attack on Israel

Kensington Palace has released a strong message on behalf of the Prince and Princess of Wales to condemn the Hamas terror attack on Israel.

The royals condemned the attack committed by the terrorists and affirmed Israel’s right to self-defence while also expressing sympathy for all innocent lives lost on both sides of the conflict.

The statement stated: “The Prince and Princess of Wales are profoundly distressed by the devastating events that have unfolded in the past days. The horrors inflicted by Hamas’s terrorist attack upon Israel are appalling; they utterly condemn them. As Israel exercises its right of self defence, all Israelis and Palestinians will continue to be stalked by grief, fear and anger in the time to come.”

“Their Royal Highnesses hold all the victims, their families and their friends in their hearts and minds. Those The Prince of Wales met in 2018 overwhelmingly shared a common hope – that of a better future. In the midst of such terrible suffering, The Prince and Princess continue to share that hope without reservation,” Kensington Palace concluded.

According to Buckingham Palace, King Charles “is appalled by and condemns the barbaric acts of terrorism in Israel.”

The King has spoken to President Herzog of Israel and King Abdullah of Jordan regarding the Hamas-Israel conflict and expressed his thoughts and prayers for those who died.

In the early morning of 7 October, Palestinian terrorists from the group Hamas infiltrated Israel by air, land and sea – killing at least 1,200 people and injuring 1,700. The group took over 100 hostages back to the Gaza Strip and has threatened to execute them on live video if Israel doesn’t stop its counterattacks.

Israelis were not the only victims of the atrocity as President Joe Biden said at least 22 Americans were killed in the slaughter. French and Thai citizens are also among the dead.
