The Duchess of Cambridge and her co-designers have revealed their plans for the Chelsea Flower Show set for London in May.
Under the themeĀ “Back to Nature Garden”, the plans co-designed by the Duchess will “inspire families to get outside and explore nature together” through “a natural woodland feel,” according to Kensington Palace.
The “Back to Nature Garden” will contain high platform treehouse, waterfall, stream, rustic den, swing, campfire, and stepping stones. The treehouse will be inspired by a “bird or animal nest.” These interactive features will provide children with a chance to test their “balance, strength and coordination.”

Last night, Kensington Palace also revealed drawing plans for what the May garden will look like. They explained that the “woodland wilderness garden at [the Chelsea Flower Show]Ā aims to get people back to nature, and highlight the benefits of the natural world on our mental and physical wellbeing.

Kensington Palace further explained, “The design includes many natural elements that aim to stimulate active play, promoting the benefits of laying the foundations of physical health from a young age.
“It is proven that nature is good for well-being, so the garden is aiming to inspire interaction with the natural environment through its multisensory, green and blue plant scheme.”
AndrĆ©e Davies and Adam White (both leading landscape architects) worked with Her Royal Highness and the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) to design this year’s garden. Her participation was announced in January of this year.
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show will take place this year from 21 to 25 May.
