The Princess of Wales ‘making good progress’

The Princess of Wales is making ‘good progress’ following major surgery almost a fortnight ago.

In the first statement on the health of Her Royal Highness since the announcement that she had undergone an operation, Kensington Palace confirmed that things were going well.

It was also confirmed that the Princess has been discharged from the London Clinic where she has been treated for the past two weeks.

The statement said ”The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress.’;

It continued ”The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided.

The Prince and Princess also expressed their gratitude to those who have been concerned for Catherine’s health, saying ”The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”

Kensington Palace has already said it expects the Princess to rest at home for at least two months before she can resume public engagements. It is understood Her Royal Highness won’t take on any duties until at least Easter.
