The Princess of Wales has left hospital following major surgery and is now recovering at home.
Kensington Palace said that the Princess had been discharged from the London Clinic where she underwent abdominal surgery almost two weeks ago.
Her Royal Highness is back at home in Windsor where she will recuperate for two months.
In a short statement, the Palace said: ”The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress. The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided. The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”
The Princess of Wales underwent planned abdominal surgery on January 16th 2024 at the London Clinic. The operation was confirmed the following day by Kensington Palace.
At the time, the Palace said it expected the Princess to recover at home for several months and not to be able to undertake public engagements until at least Easter.
