Flora Ogilvy, granddaughter of Princess Alexandra, is the latest Windsor bride to say ‘I do’ and for her big day, she opted for a gown designed by a royal favourite. Flora, who wed her partner Timothy Vesterberg on September 26th 2020, chose an ivory gown by Emilia Wickstead for her marriage.
The dress featured a box neck, full length fitted sleeves and a fitted waist with a straight, fitted skirt. There was no tiara with the bride opting for a simple half up do and accessorizing with some diamond earrings. Flora’s wedding flowers included cream lilies and roses arranged in a simple posy supported by dark green foliage.
The wedding took place at the Chapel Royal, St. James’ Palace just two days before restrictions on numbers at marriages were tightened by the government in a bid to stem the spread of coronavirus. Flora and Timothy were among the last couples allowed to have a wedding party of thirty – just forty eight hours later, that number was dropped to fifteen.
A guest list for the ceremony hasn’t been released. However, the bride shared her joy on her Instagram account where she has already changed her name to Flora Vesterberg. There was also a promise of another royal party to mark their marraige as she wrote ”We are truly overjoyed and look forward to celebrating next year”.
Emilia Wickstead has been a favourite designer with the Royal Family for several years.
