The Queen, who is 93-years-old and her cousin, who is 83-years-old, stood for a large proportion of the hour-long ceremony to acknowledge the troops as they paraded the Colour.
Her Majesty was also accompanied by the Prince of Wales, Duke of Cambridge, Duke of York and Princess Royal who attended the ceremony on horseback.
The Duke of Edinburgh was not present at this year’s parade. He retired from public life in 2017.
Also present at Trooping this year was the Duchess of Sussex who rode in the first carriage alongside her husband, the Duke of Sussex, as well as the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge.
This was Meghan’s first public appearance since giving birth to Archie last month.
Princess Eugenie was also joined by her husband, Jack Brooksbank, at Trooping the Colour for the first time. The newlyweds rode to the traditional ceremony in the second carriage of the royal procession which wound through big crowds lining the route through central London.
They sat alongside Princess Beatrice of York and the Duke of Kent for the short journey from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards’ Parade where trooping takes place.
