Amongst all the royal wedding and baby announcements, it wasn’t too long ago that Princess Eugenie and longtime boyfriend, Jack Brooksbank announced their engagement. And now, their living arrangements are set.
Previously Eugenie had lived in an apartment in St James’s Palace, but now the couple is set to move into Kensington Palace. Ivy Cottage will now be the couples new home, which happens to be right next to Nottingham Cottage where Harry and Meghan live. Both cottages are also a short walk to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s residence inside Kensington Palace. This will be the couples first home together. Soon they will be all settled in, and royal fans can await their wedding this fall.
The couple is set to wed at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, which happens to be the same location Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will marry on 19 May.
“The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Princess Eugenie to Mr Jack Brooksbank” the bride’s parents commented in a statement together. The Duchess of York continued her excitement on social media by saying, “I always say that the river flows well to it’s [sic] destiny because of the guidance of a solid rock,” which captioned a lovely picture of the young couple.
Thanks to friends, Eugenie met Jack a little over seven years ago during a ski holiday to Verbier in Switzerland, and have been inseparable ever since. Even when Princess Eugenie took a job in New York City, the couple managed to keep their relationship healthy. With the stamp of approval from The Queen and Royal Family, Jack proposed during a beautiful moment in Nicaragua. Eugenie is “over the moon” and commented on how incredible of a moment her proposal was. Though the couple had been together for quite some time, the proposal was still a surprise.
