Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis join their mum to volunteer at a baby bank

The Princess of Wales came equipped with little helpers on a recent visit to the Maidenhead baby bank: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The Wales Family showed up for a volunteering session at their local baby bank, packaging gift bags for children around the same ages as George, Charlotte and Louis in support of Catherine’s holiday initiative with the Royal Foundation’s Centre for Early Childhood.

In the video clip shared to the Kensington Palace YouTube channel, Catherine tells her children, “Here there are lots of people who give up their time and there’s lots of volunteers who come and help out. And so you’re the volunteers for this evening.”

The nearly two-minute video then shows George, Charlotte and Louis roaming the Baby Bank putting together gift bags for children around their ages. The organisers tell them to choose gifts that they might themselves want to receive when putting together their bundles.

“This is a big guy!” Louis says, pulling out a toy gorilla. Elsewhere, Charlotte dotes over a newborn onesie covered in Welsh flag designs, announcing to the room, “This is Welsh!”

Prince George, meanwhile, seemed to be affected by the visit, as a volunteer can be heard saying that he wants to come back volunteer again. In another clip, Catherine and George are talking with staffers and she tells him, “You can see how rewarding the work is, knowing that you are helping out others.”

On X, Kensington Palace shared a brief clip of the video with the caption: “Baby Banks are warm, caring places for families to access equipment, products, clothes and toys to help relieve some of the stresses creating significant pressures on people caring for babies and young children.”

The visit follows Catherine’s visit to Sebby’s Corner a few weeks ago to officially launch a baby bank holiday appeal. In the video shared today, a statistic stated that of families living in poverty, a quarter of them have a child under the age of five.

An onscreen message of support showed up near the end of Catherine’s video: “Thank you to everyone who so generously supports Baby Banks across the country.”
