Social media is where royal birthday celebrations happen now and as the Duchess of Cambridge turned 38, it was Buckingham Palace that led the way with special posts to mark the occasion. A trio of photos of Kate with the Queen were shared on the official Twitter account of the Royal Family to mark the day.

Kensington Palace took the chance to share a new photo of Kate for her big day – a sunny snap taken by Matt Porteous. It was accompanied by a thank you for all the good wishes sent to the duchess for her birthday.
