A new exhibit is set to open as a tribute to Diana, Princess of Wales, in Las Vegas, just in time for the 25th anniversary of her tragic death.
The new exhibit, Princess Diana: A Tribute Exhibition, is set to open on 2 September in the city that never sleeps and has been curated by an award-winning team, entertainment industry executives, critically acclaimed writers, a textile conservator, and international experts on royals and British history. It has been created in partnership with the Pink Ribbons Crusade – a volunteer charity that is sharing its Diana artefacts and royal memorabilia in an effort to raise money to fight breast cancer.
Producers of the exhibit have been associated with other popular attractions like Star Trek, King Tut and the Sistine Chapel.
There are 12 rooms in the 10,000-square-foot exhibition that holds over 700 items that range from Diana’s childhood home to personal items from her royal life. Items related to Prince Charles, the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex are also said to be included.
Many of Diana’s clothes will be on display, including a recreation of her famous wedding dress. The exhibit offers group bookings where people can host events in the “Wedding of the Century” room that features the dress and artefacts from other royal celebrations.
The exhibition markets itself as the “Las Vegas entertainment and the world’s leading collection of Diana and royal memorabilia to offer North America’s premiere journey inside the Royal Family.”
Princess Diana: A Tribute Exhibition is in The Shops at Crystals, connected to ARIA Resort & Casino. It will be open from 11 am until 7 pm each day. General admission tickets are $29, while children’s tickets are $21. Prices for students, seniors, military and Nevada residents start at $25. A portion of each ticket will be donated to the Pink Ribbons Crusade.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
