The Duchess of Cornwall dusts off her valuables as she visits the Antiques Roadshow

The Duchess of Cornwall has dusted off some of her prized possessions as she paid a visit to the filming of popular BBC series Antiques Roadshow.

First broadcast in 1979, Antiques Roadshow sees members of the public bringing along items that they wish to be valued by a team of experts.

Her Royal Highness visited presenter Fiona Bruce and the team at the Eden Project in Cornwall where they were filming this particular episode.

On arrival, Camilla was met by the Lord Lieutenan Colonel Edward Bolitho and Fiona Bruce, who has presented the show for 14 years.

Her Royal Highness then undertook a tour of the Specialism Tables, meeting with some of the experts featured on the show.

During the tour, Camilla had the opportunity to meet some of the members of the public who were visiting the show to get their antiques valued.

Before departing, the Duchess discussed some of her prized possessions with the experts, a segment that will feature in a future episode of the show.

After HRH departed, Frances Christie, an expert in modern art on the show, said: “She was really interested in what we had to show.

“She said she was a huge fan of the show and she asked lots of questions about the pictures we were looking at.”

Antiques Roadshow is one of the BBC’s flagship programmes, and is enjoyed by millions of viewers every Sunday evening.

Each episode is filmed in a different location, meaning people from all four corners of the UK get the chance to visit the experts on their doorstep.

The 75-year-old Duchess visited the roadshow during a visit to Cornwall at the Eden Project.

The Duchess of Cornwall last visited the Eden Project in June 2021 when she attended the G7 Leaders’ reception, alongside The Queen.
