The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have apparently put their fears and hesitations over the UK to one side and are planning to move back to the country.
Six years after leaving their royal roles for a new life that saw them settle in California, Harry and Meghan now want to make a permanent base in the UK and have already chosen schools for their children.
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are set to begin at their new schools in September and it’s understood the Sussexes are planning to come back by the end of this month.
However, where they will live hasn’t been revealed although it’s understood to be a ‘non royal’ home.
Before they left the UK, the couple had been given Frogmore Cottage as a grace and favour residence. They quit that property for good when they decided to pursue private business interests. They also had use of a two bedroom home at Kensington, Palace, Nottingham Cottage.
Now, Harry and Meghan have homes in the US and Portugal and it’s understood they will live privately on their return to the UK.
Prince Harry has fought and lost a lengthy legal battle to get full scale royal security for him and his family in the UK, saying the country wasn’t safe enough for his wife and children without it.
However, they came back for a short visit in July and met King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove during their time in the country.
As the reports of their return started, it was confirmed that King Charles was only told of it at the weekend.
It has been confirmed that Harry and Meghan won’t be returning to official royal roles and won’t take on public engagements.
