Charles and Camilla thank military and NHS workers for vaccine rollout

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall paid a visit to Skipton House in London to hear more about the COVID-19 vaccine rollout from the NHS and Ministry of Defence.

The couple met with the military and NHS members to thank them for their work with the vaccination programme. Clarence House shared that last month, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall wrote to affiliated military units and today had the opportunity to thank them in person.

Earlier Tuesday, Charles stopped by London’s Jesus House to see their new NHS vaccine pop-up clinic at work. The church, led by Pastor Agu Irukwu, has been working to combat vaccine hesitancy and arming the local area with information about the virus.

“In an effort to encourage vaccine take-up amongst the BAME community, @jesushouseuk has led seminars to share credible information about the programme, providing opportunity to raise questions and concerns with healthcare professionals,” Clarence House said.

When asked by a reporter at the event for his reaction on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s tell-all interview, he declined to comment.

The details of the couple’s visit to Skipton House were shared on Clarence House’s social media accounts just minutes after Buckingham Palace released a statement about the Oprah interview.

The full statement reads: ”The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”
