Camilla gets a glimpse of Baby Sussex’s photocall

It may not be the first time she’s seen a photo of him but thanks to the speed of modern technology, the Duchess of Cornwall got a glimpse of Baby Sussex’s first photo call within moments of it taking place. As Camilla went on a walkabout in Leipzig, during her tour of Germany, she was shown her step-grandson’s sleeping media debut – on someone’s mobile phone.

The duchess seemed pleased to share this special moment and said ”thank you for showing me”. Her response ended up in the UK before she knew it as it was shared by the Daily Telegraph’s Hannah Furness.

Baby Sussex made his debut before the cameras just after 12 on May 8th 2019 when he was carried into St. George’s Hall, Windsor by his proud father, the Duke of Sussex. The Duchess of Sussex said her son had a sweet temperament and said she now had ”the two best guys in the world”.

The new seventh in line to the throne was born at 5.26am on May 6th 2019. He is a fourth grandchild for the Prince of Wales who left for his tour of Germany alongside Camilla the day after Meghan and Harry welcomed their son. Prince Charles confirmed yesterday that he is yet to meet the new baby but said he was thrilled at his arrival.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will meet Baby Sussex for the first time this afternoon at Windsor. Meghan revealed, as she presented her son to the world, that the Sussex family had just bumped into the Duke of Edinburgh on their way to the photocall.
