Kate’s Christmas morning looks

With Christmas proving to be an understated affair this year due to the pandemic, let’s take a look at Christmases past. Today we’re recounting all of the Duchess of Cambridge’s Christmas morning outfits in the decade since she joined the Royal Family.

On her first Christmas morning as a member of the Royal Family, Kate wore an aubergine coat by an independent, unnamed British designer, and a Robin Hood-style hat by milliner Jane Corbett.

William and Kate spent the holidays with the Middletons in 2012, shortly after she’d been hospitalized from hyperemesis gravidarum with her pregnancy with Prince George. For this understated and private Christmas church service, Kate re-wore a burgundy Hobbs coat that she’d previously worn on engagements earlier that year.

On Christmas morning in 2013, her first as a parent, the Duchess repeated a Black Watch tartan coat dress by Alexander McQueen that she’d previously worn during a visit to her old school, St. Andrew’s, in November 2012. Her emerald green beret hat was made by milliner Gina Foster.

On Christmas morning in 2019, William and Kate were joined by their older children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, for their Christmas walk debut. Kate wore a tan Catherine Walker coat and the same green beret hat by Lock & Co that she’d worn on Christmas morning in 2015.
