Charles and Camilla celebrate Christmas with new festive photograph

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall have released a new photograph to mark Christmas Day.

The image was taken by a member of staff at Birkhall in Scotland and shows the future King and Queen holding giant canes.

Prince Charles has a pair of binoculars around his neck, and Camilla is wrapped up warm in a coat and holds a comfortable looking hat.

Their Royal Highnesses are spending Christmas at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire.

The couple hoped that they would see The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh at some point over the holidays, however, this is now not possible due to tough new restrictions aimed at tackling the ongoing public health emergency.

The Queen is spending her Christmas break at Windsor this year. Her Majesty, along with the Duke of Edinburgh, are celebrating the festive season at the Castle which has been their main residence for much of 2020.

Normally, the Queen is joined by the Royal Family at Sandringham for Christmas.
