A warm reunion as the Prince and Princess of Wales welcome Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel to Windsor Castle

The Prince and Princess of Wales have welcomed Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden to Windsor Castle.

The heir to the Swedish throne and here husband are in the UK for an official visit.

They hugged the Prince and Princess as they met in a very warm encounter.

The four then posed for official photos before a private audience.

Later, William and Catherine along with Victoria and Daniel will attend the Royal Variety Performance in London.

The four have met several times before with the Crown Princess and her husband acting as hosts for William and Catherine during their visit to Sweden in 2018.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel began their official visit to the UK on November 29th when they spent time with Ukrainian soldiers being trained by Swedish military in Britain. Their visit to ”Operation Interflex” allowed them to hear abut the training and the experiences of the soldiers.

They also visited a traditional British pub where the future queen and her husband both tried their luck at pulling a pint.

As their first day in the UK came to an end, Victoria and Daniel attended a dinner in London held by the Swedish Embassy and Business Sweden with a focus on collaboration and innovation as well as sustainability. Guests included entrepreneurs and politicians.

In her speech, the Crown Princess said ”Our governments cooperate closely. There is also tremendous power when the business community act together. Both the UK and Sweden are world leading on innovation, and our global competitiveness is closely linked to our strive towards green transition.”

The visit continues until December 1st 2023.
