King Charles reveals he’s ”recovering” from a shock as he arrives for COP28

King Charles has said he’s getting over the shock of turning 75 in light hearted comments at the start of COP28.

His Majesty also said he was ‘very much all right’ as he arrived in Dubai for the meeting.

His Majesty’s first engagement ahead of the summit was an audience with the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinibu.

At the meeting, he was asked how he was. King Charles replied ‘’all right, very much, just about.’’

His Majesty then added that he had ‘’had a rather ancient birthday recently’’ and said he was recovering from the shock of it.

King Charles III turned 75 on November 14th 2023.

The King has a series of major bilateral meetings in Dubai as world leaders gather there for COP28.

His Majesty will address the Opening Ceremony of the UN Climate Action Summit on December 1st 2023.
